Chartwells meal service is designed for schools with no kitchen facility or where space or equipment is limited. Chartwells combines traditional cooking methods with modern technology to achieve really outstanding, cost effective and energy efficient results. the specially selected space saving equipment enables prepared food to be cooked off and combined with freshly prepared fruits, salads and delicious breads baked on the schools own site each day.

Service Types

Chartwells meal services is designed for schools with no kitchen facility or where space or equipment is limited. Chartwells combines traditional cooking methods with modern technology to achieve outstanding, cost effective and energy efficient results.

All of the meals are created in our Central Production Unit based in Poole. Schools orders are then picked and packed according to the number of meals ordered and delivered to schools daily ready for lunch. We have 2 different types of services depending upon specific schools requirements.

Delivered in Hot - DIH

Our ‘Delivered in Hot’ service is designed for schools with very limited/no cooking facilities. The pre ordered food is prepared and cooked at our Central Production Unit and delivered to schools hot in a specially designed box prior to serving.

Raw vegetables are delivered to the school chilled, in sealed bags, to be freshly steam cooked immediately prior to service.

Simplicity

With a simplicity service the schools have specially selected space saving equipment which enables prepared food to be cooked off and combined with freshly prepared fruits, salads and delicious breads baked on the schools own site each day. A specialist unit which combines an oven, hot cupboard and lighted servery allow the meals to be cooked off on site to perfection.

Raw vegetables are delivered to the school chilled, in sealed bags, to be freshly steam cooked immediately prior to service.
